So..shuhli joined me for shopping.

Yesterday, we were invited to uncle's house to celebrate Hari Raya! My uncle has married a malay wife, thus he has converted to a malay.
The food were delicious.. check them out!

Carried her around, tuck her to sleep, sang lullaby to her, tickled her.. and wat hve u. She is one of the very few kids that I spent my precious time playing with. haha.. ya.. she was rlly adorable. She is still very much adorable now. :) Apparently, Sandra is the ELDEST sister in the family. She has another sister and 2 brothers. Introducing Baby Jason:

10 yrs ago, I spoke to Sandra in baby language.. babbling with her.
10 yrs later, I spoke human language to her. I mean.. English and Mandarin.

I wana fly!!!
Just fly to somewhere.. for a breather.
I dun wana go shopping 24 hrs a day when i'm in a foreign land.
Shopping is fun. But i'm not tt kind who wants to go overseas to shop til drop.
I want to enjoy the air there, the culture, the food, the people, the language.
Most importantly, enjoy my new identity in a foreign country.
A whole new start. A whole new journey.
To listen to my heart's beat.
The country is not new.
It has always been there.
Waiting for people like me to set foot on it.
Thinking that they are the ones discovering a new terrain, discovering a different culture.
Yet, to the country,
you are but one in a million whom the country has just discovered.
You actually existed?!!!

Raindrops keep falling on my head
A lot of things happened recently..
But i just dun hve the mood to blog abt it. No particular reason. Perhaps its the weather.. sometimes.. doing nothing can be an art of living.
Anw.. today is a rainy day. Good.... pls drive the haze away. And drives all troubles away from everyone. I strolled along my way home.. enjoying.. the rain. The others walked briskly passed me.
I closed my eyes and smiled.. in the almost empty pathway.
The feeling of raindrops on my face is.. simply resusitating.
Washed away all my fatigue,
unleashed the carefree child in me.
I want more...
One day.. i will dance in e rain. Bathe in e rain.
Lie on the empty pathway with no fears... no worries.
Just to get drenched.
Every bit of me.. drenched.
Then.. fall into a deep deep sleep.

Went to watch xiangsheng alone. As usual.. i got lost as I struggled to look for Raffles Hotel. I printed out a map fr Street directory for the direction to Raffles Hotel. Yet.. I still got lost. Whatever..
Its ok.. I still managed to reach the destination just b4 the performance commerced. Haha..
The guy sitting behind me during the show kept laughing. Its good to hear people laugh. But.. pls.. pls.. dun laugh at everything and so loudly that the poor lady in front of you have to cringe and nearly broke into tears. Ha.. in the midst of the performance, i beh tahan.. i changed place. He can continue laughing his lungs out and I can finally enjoy the performance( or else.. all i can hear thru out the performance is "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA" ). Its a win-win situation. I have no rights to scold him (for laughing). He has no rights to make me cry.
Met Dad and Mum for dinner aft tt. Something happened and it made my day.
There was a married couple tgt w their 3 children.. sitting beside us.
The mother began staring at me.
After a while.. the kids oso started staring at me.
I din notice tt.. my parents did.
Later then I realised tt.. this family recognised me.
Haha.. this is so cool.. I haven been acting on screen for abt 8 yrs. Yet, they still recognised me?!
I tot, "wah.. not bad.. i still look youthful!!!" haha..
I did miss those days.. a beautiful memory.
Reminice the good old days..
but dun cling tightly onto these past memories.
Or else.. one can nv grow.

A warm afternoon...
Wormy came to duck's house to play this afternoon...
We did so much things in the entire afternoon...
Watching a funny video.. tt made her giggled.. laughed and nearly rolled on the floor.
I was the laughing stock for the whole afternoon.
she claimed tt i haven changed all these years..
I wondered if i shd rejoice for tt.
She made me learn sth new abt myself..
"u r zhuai3.. but u've got the friendly face tt makes ppl wana play w u. ahha.."
Cooked "heavenly seafood pasta" for her.
This time round, I learnt sth new abt her..
she takes quite a while to peel off the shells of the prawns. ahha..
Spent some time in my room.. toking.. playing..
Spent some time in the playground
snatching the swings from other kids...
'swinging our hearts away'...
I hope i can continue 'swinging my heart away' when i grow old.
I dun care if my bones are scattered all over the place.
I.. want to build a playground... for grown-ups.
Sounds stupid?
It will sound sensible and noble.. for the few who understand.
My playground is not for those who want to reinforce discrimination.

Gastric Flu - 10/10/06
Yesterday, I was officially down w gastric flu. Diarrhoea... headache... fever... vomiting urge. U name it.. i have it. I only ate 2 slices of pear yesterday. Doc gave me 2 days' mc. He wants me to stay at home so that i wont spread the virus around (it is highly contagious).Best thing is.. the next day, I have a presentation to deliver! Damn.. I had to email my lecturer to inform him about it. Luckily I have an understanding group mate.. she would help me deliver my presentation.
Anw, something happened yesterday.
At ard 9.30pm, I received an sms from cher. She was saying sth like fiona xie was filming live at my block. She asked me to open my door cos fiona xie mite be jus outside my door.
?!!!!
I knew that this is not very possible.. i mean.. fliming at my block at 9.30pm? Somemore there is nothing special abt my block.. except that... I'm living there.
Anw, being kapoh.. i still peered out of my window hoping to catch sight of fiona xie.
Pls... there wasn't any commotion at all. Obviously, I have been tricked.
Cher msged me again.. emphasizing tt i shd jus open my door.
And.. i did so..
Guess wat?
I saw these:
Placed outside my door nicely..
A 'get well soon' msg...
written on a hankerchief
A DUCKIE HANKERCHIEF!!!
A Kitty hankerchief!!!
Haha.. i think onli a few ppl knows the story behind it.

In all, I've received some food & beverages, tiger balm, a toilet cleaner detergent and 3 hankerchiefs.
(why toilet cleaner detergent?!!! ahhaha... according to my mysterious angel, "cos the shape of the detergent.. looks lke a DUCK!!!!" )
WOAHAHAHAHHAH...
When i saw these gifts, I couldnt help but smile to myself.
I din expect Cher to come all the way to my house.. to leave these sweeeet little gifts outside my doorway and leave mysteriously.
This is the sweetest thing someone has done for me.. when i fell sick.

Chinese Garden Trip... 3/10/06
me attempting to climb up the stairs... *franchipani lost her balance by the way..*
kekeke...we found a vending machine beside an ancient house and figurine. Isn't it weird?
so.. i decided to play along..

hui: "Wahhh.. so cute!!!"

both: "HELLO PANDA!!!!!!"
Meanwhile, the security was alerted bcos some kpoh eye witness claim tt they saw 2 gals biting off the panda's ears....

There was this amusement park section in chinese garden...
We decided to relive our childhood memories...
The uncle in charge of operating the rides told us tt we can onli go for this ride (there were many more.. lke viking). Sigh..
Tt wasnt bad. The worse thing is.. when the lady operating this particular ride tt we took.. stare at us in disbelief when we asked her whether we could have a ride. Her silly expression din stop us from taking the ride.. WE DUN GIVE A DAMN!
I mean.. wats tt expression for? Discriminating grown-ups ah? Grown ups have no rights to relive their childhood ah? Grown-ups must always be so up-tight isit?
In a way, I was upset. Upset tt this kinda mentality exists. When the ride was over, the lady still had this shocked face on her. Its ok.. I smiled to her. I smiled.. a weak smile: i think she must hve missed out alot in her life...
Does it mean tt once we r grown up... we cant hve fun? Its not about being childish.. its abt living. Get a life..
Some parents accompanied their children for the ride. I attempted to act as if i'm accompanying my kid (franchipani la.. since she so small size) for a ride. But, why do tt? haha.. i bet the parents are the ones who actually wana take the ride. The kids are merely accompanying their parents.
