The thing about... Spring Cleaning!
Chinese New Year is coming soooon!!
I've spent one afternoon (onli.. hahah) to help out with spring cleaning. Well, actually.. i din rlly help out much.. i mean all i did was.. clean up my little room. Haha! Mum was kinda grateful tt i did take the initiative to spring clean my room.
How do you do spring cleaning? I bet most of u belong to any one of the 2 categories..
a) "I dun do spring cleaning.. i dun believe in spring cleaning.. cleaning up the place once a year.. wont make much difference. Tts why.. i prefer not to clean at all. Furthermore, CNY will be over v soon.. nobody will discover the dust!"
b) "I anyhow clean my room. Just tidy up the books and files. Then hide those unsightly stuffs (or mess tt u dun feel lke tidying up) into the STOREROOM!!! Everything exists for a purpose. Dun neglect your storeroom."
HAHAHA!
Anw.. i'm so proud to tell u tt i'm none of the above catergories for
this year's CNY. (still dare to bold the words! heheh)
I've gone beyond my comfort zone and ventured into the d..a..r..k..e..s..t corner of the dusty cupboards!! My goodness.. the cloth and pail of water tt i've used to wipe the cupboards were beyond recognisation. They turned greyish..
Woahaha..
You know.. you get to retrieve so many lost and found items when you venture into those dark corners of the cupboards. Photographs... snow white figurine.. hankerchief.. toys..
Its practically bits and pieces of my childhood memories hiding in that little corner of my room.. waiting for me to look for them. Peek-a-boo!
Its nice to do spring cleaning afterall. A proper one tt is (which means its neither category a nor b as mentioned above). Memories will start coming back to you. Although some memories are clearly more distinct while others are faint, the feeling of nostalgia will still be lingering. You call that... ... sweeeet nostalgia! :)
Its alwys nice to help ya mum with spring cleaning. In fact, anything tt she wants to do. Make an effort to help out as far as possible. Its our duty.Cleaning the whole house is not an easy task at all. Especially if you have to do it alone.
When you have grown up, you suddenly realised tt... mummy... is no longer young. You suddenly realised tt mummy can have body aches and get tired too. The sudden urge to protect her from aches and discomfort, the sudden urge to share the aches and tireness with her and the tremendous urge to hug her and tell her hw much you hve come to appreciate the amount of love she has showered her babies with all these years.
Sometimes, its no use just blabbering to her tt you love her.
Actions speak louder than words.
When you start doing sth in return, tts when your words come alive.
No one can guarantee tt he can build a perfect home, safe from the howling storms.
There's no such thing as a perfect home.
You can only seek perfection thru imperfection.
You cant seek perfection if you've nv experienced imperfections.
All parents try their bests to give their children the best they can offer.
Its not their fault tt sometimes things din turn out the way they thought it could have been.
Miscalculations can happen any time.
But its alright.
We are all learning how to love each other.
Wait till you become a parent yourself :)
A toast to all parents and future parents.. :D
haha...
and of cos.. 22 TOASTS TO MY DEAREST SH!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR.. :)
