The LAST long holiday for a student like me...

I'm having my 3 months long holiday (yes, v long i know) but keep in mind tt it's goin to be my very last 3 months long school holiday as well.

Ha.

And here i am, tryin to make this one a memorable one. The last real break for a student, for a soon-to-be working adult. Yes, now u see how precious this 3 mths has become? ahhaha..

Might sound kinda ironic for some ppl if u were to learn hw i've spent my 1 mth holiday so far.
I've been rlly literally relaxing, rotting, decomposing happily in my own world. Spending time watching tv, surfing net, snuggling onto the alwys-so-cozy bed, watching some taiwanese hokkien drama w my mum, disturbing my mum cos i hve so much time, shopping, outings, meeting up w frens, writing and composing...

It's not tt i cant meet up w frens during sch term.. but the mood and feeling is a little different. Catching up w frens felt especially meaningful esp during this holiday. It's like you feel tt all of us are growing up.. some are graduating and looking for jobs, some lke me are waiting for the last final year - the last lap b4 we bid gdbye to study life. Perhaps its some psychological effect, but i cant help but notice hw diff we are during sch term n during the holiday. During sch term, all are busy n drained from projs and exams. Meet ups usu end off w the need to rush off for proj meetings.. for lecs.. for tutorials blah blah. Now, at least we hve the mood and energy to laze ard and even give tt extra attn to one another. Things u havent noticed, the other side of ya frens tt u've nv paid attention to...
suddenly, u've come to appreciate them even more than before.

Maybe when u r not so busy, not so drained off, not so tired,
you begin to see the better side of the world.
No matter how short lived this lovely angle of the world tt u've noticed ,
it's still a blessing.
Some ppl jus dun understand this.

Anw, it has onli been a month plus of slacking ard and i felt lke i've been doin this for lke years.
hahaha... yeah.. what a typical busy urban dweller kinda mindset. Sloggin our lives out.. sometimes dunno for wat.. jus act busy n tot u've achieved n did a lot. If u tell some urban dwellers hw u've been relaxing during the holidays.. they raised their eyebrowns and give u tt "wth.. hw can u nt do anything during the long holidays?!! cant u lke.. do sth?"
Aiyoh.. as if i din do anything.. i did so much.. i slept so much.. ate so much.. shopped so much.. and the list goes on.. u get it. ahahha.. but to them, these are ... NOTHING...u r not doing ANYTHING.

the simplest pleasures in life.. yet alwys taken for granted.
Alwys neglected n deemed to be too simplistic.
Simple yet easily forgotten.

And i've recalled an incident plant* has encountered during her job interview recently. The interviewer sounded scornful n couldnt believe tt plant* hasnt been doing 'anything' for e past one mth or so.. apart fr goin for a grad trip n sending her resumes for job.
I find tt rlly hilarious. ahahahah..
And e interviewer commented tt she shd hve taken up some courses or odd job to spend her 1 mth properly.
*laugh n roll on e floor*
wat a loser.
Period.
No, wat i mean is tt.. i suspect tt e interviewer is hving her.. erm.. ya period.
wohahahaahhaha...

Anw, i think its rlly a matter of personal choice n preference in hw one spend his holiday. Be it occupied with temp jobs, slacking, taking up courses blah blah... as long as u enjoy hw u spend ya time. Then, ya time is spent wisely :) Nobody has the right to tell u tt u shdnt work during the holiday. Neither do they hve the right to scorn u when u supposedly did 'nothing' bcos u were spendin time sleeping, reading, eating..
There's a time for everything. And u, decides wat u wana do with ya time.
At least, u can still be in reasonable control on hw u intend to spend ya holidays...
i cant say so when u start working tou.
;)

wow.. 2 cousins fr Texas, 2 cousins fr Taiwan,
tt makes 2 sets of cousins fr 2 different countries!
