Alas! Time to settle down...
The first week of my hons yr has flew past. In fact, I wouldn't say tt it felt lke time has past pretty fast. 3 hours of seminar-styled class instead of 2 hours lecture does make a difference afterall. Especially when I have been accustomed to super-slack lifestyle for the past 3 mths. Its time to adapt to the 'new' lifestyle once again. haah..
Oh well, hons yr has already made an impression on me even tou the term has barely started. For the past 3 yrs of uni life, I hardly had a problem in getting and planning the modules for sch term. On the start of my 4th yr, surprisingly, I had to appeal to get e mods i want. And ok.. appeal another time to drop a disgusting module in exchange for another 'sounds daunting' module. Everything's not confirmed until yesterday. But it was a relieve... at least the admin part is settled for now.
Embarking on a somewhat new phase of learning journey and hanging out w new frens made me feel lke a primary school child for a moment. Just a moment. haaha. It also, ironically, made me felt lke an old person: realizing that many frens have left school ( grad fr sch i mean) and reliving some fond memories of school life w them (even tou i'm hanging out w new grps of frens). Some memories are simply just priceless. See, I'm really sounding lke an old granny lamenting on some fond memories in the past. *chuckle and reveal my set of fake denture*
But this is just, yet, another beginning. Making new frens.. in fact i've seen many of them thru'out the past 3 yrs in nus.. its jus tt for some of them, I dun lke their faces or the way they carry themselves. I mean some are just pure bitches or he-bitches. Some jus looked unfriendly. Some.. jus din get a chance to work with them or intro each other. Now, suddenly, u get to know most of them all at once. I felt pretty comfortable hangin out w some grps than other grps. Haha.. diff chemistry comes with diff combination of personalities as ppl interact w one another.
But, some of them, are really nice ppl and it will take time for friendship to blossom.. so let nature takes its own course. I alwys believe in affinity and chemistry. And i'm waiting for new surprises and friendships to make me feel blown away again :)
Next, time to tok abt a rather important issue: Course pack! HAHAHAH... ya.. course packs for my hons modules. I tell you.. they r sooo bloody thick. I can stack them tgt and they can pull it off as decent-looking encyclopedia. Or, they can also be used for weight-lifting. Hahah!!!! I was so pissed the other day when i bought 2 course packs... i mean they were so heavy tt i had so much difficulty tryin to do shopping.
On a happier note, I have.. for once in my almost 4 yrs in nus.. A 2-DAY WEEK!!!! *SCREAM ARD EXCITEDLY!!* I mean.. wat a feat!! I'm a 2-DAY WEEK KID!!! I'm like a part-time student and a full-time homemaker! hahahaahh.. WOHAHAHAHA.. muchahahhhah!! Dun be mistaken ok, I din plan for a 2 day week in e first place.. its bascially due to those appeal and droppin of mods frenzy tt resulted in such lovely arrangment :) hahahah.. i wanted a 3 day week but i've triumped over my original plan.. ahahah.
But of cos, i have a price to pay for it. I had a 12 hr school day on fridays.. 9hrs of seminars.. ahhaha.. I'm superduck!!! HEAR ME ROARRRR... i mean .. QUAACCCCKKK!
Since everything is more or less settled, its time to settle down.. mentally... and prepare for a challenging sem ahead. jia you!!!
Last but not least, I won the Singapore Tertiary Chinese Literature Award again :D :D

Prize-giving ceremony is next saturday, 23/8 at ntu. Free buffet again!! haaha..
